Interface Engineer II
Job Summary:
Implements and supports interfaces between healthcare systems and Health Information Exchanges
JOB DUTIES:
Develop, test and implement interfaces based on standards and customer requirements
Maintain and support existing interfaces
Analyze and document customer requirements and business workflow for integration of disparate
healthcare systems
Configure and test new interfaces between healthcare groups
Document interface implementations and configurations
Provide excellent customer service and maintain excellent customer relationships
Identify and resolve interface related issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Proficiency in HL7 v 2 interface specifications/message standards
Experience with PIX, PDQ, XDS b, and CCDA
Experience with integration engine technologies
Experience with database queries using PostgressSQL or MSSQL
Experience with API integration
More than 3 years of system integration experience in healthcare environment, or equivalent
Hands on experience with Mirth channels/connect/interface engine and configuration a plus
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with MS C# programming language
Ability to clearly document interface specifications and configurations
Broad based knowledge of computer OS, applications and networking technologies
A self-motivated quick learner who works well with other members of the team
Well organized and detail-oriented
Capable of juggling multiple concurrent tasks successfully
Minimum Job Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Must be a US Citizen
Excellent English language communication skills, both written and spoken
Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
NextGen/Mirth Certification or ability to attain NextGen/Mirth Certification within 90 days of hire
Working knowledge of HL7
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Sitting for extended period of time
Dexterity of hands and finger to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects
Physically able to participate in training session, presentations and meetings
May be required to lift up to 20 pounds
Some travel may be required

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate job related equipment; occasionally reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb stairs; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor building climate. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
