SCHIO Alert Notifications

CMS ADT Alerting by SCHIO
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) final rule on patient access and interoperability contains requirements for hospitals to conduct admission, discharge and transfer requirements. This is also referred to as The Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoP).
SCHIO delivers CMS mandated alerts by one of four means depending on provider preference:
· SCHIO directly into provider EHR over existing interface
· SCHIO publishes a “Worklist” of alerts in the SCHIO Provider Portal
· SCHIO delivers alerts via Secure Direct Messaging
· SCHIO delivers fax to provider
SCHIO also delivers these alerts to others using any of the above who have subscribed to receive alerts and have the patients written authorization to receive them – such as Case Management.
There is no cost to the SCHIO participating hospital or participant.
If you would like to receive alerts or change how you are receiving them please contact SCHIO at
831-600-3769 or schiesupport@santacruzhie.org
